Our client is a global leader in carbon off-setting and has a vast sustainable impact portfolio across a variety of client industries. With an increasing African presence, the firm is looking for a marketing professional who is familiar with the renewable energy industry and climate change policies, someone who will be able to take the company’s global vision and strategy and give it a South African touch, increasing traction amongst local African markets.

Your core responsibility will be to oversee the firm's growing presence by cementing the brand's position within the South African and African markets. Whilst you will be reporting directly to the SA Country Director and International Marketing Director, you will be required to perform administration tasks such as building proposals and submitting tenders with marketing flair, developing a marketing strategy and connecting the firm with media partners who will ensure that the brand receives adequate exposure. Ideally, you will have come from a social media background and be a technical genius, able to update the company website and write regular engaging newsletters that ensure a high CTR. We are looking for someone who understands analytics and can interpret them into measurable goals - you will understand online SEO like the back of your hand.

With fantastic written English skills coupled with marketing insight and design expertise, you will be required to attend conferences and events and write relevant and interesting thought leadership pieces with the overall goal of increasing the company’s corporate sustainable identity in the region. As Marketing Manager, you will need to manage and oversee the firms marketing budget, taking complete ownership over your actions and showcasing high levels of confidence in your marketing skills and advertising abilities. You will be someone who thinks out of the box and drives results. Your established network of like-minded professionals will allow you to understand the local sustainability market and your competitors with ease, influencing your marketing decisions as well as the partners you are able to leverage. You will need to dig deep to understand who the game players are and how you will do things more effectively to drive better results. You will need to understand the psychology of your target audience and how to get a result from their engagements with your online presence.

Education Requirements
