Are you an Electrical Engineer with proven experience designing microgrid B2B microgrid solutions across Africa? We are looking for an Application Engineer who is well versed with the energy storage environment and who is used to working in a team environment, preferably from a multinational firm.
You will be a hard-hitting professional with 3+ years’ experience in electrical energy design, has their master’s in electrical engineering as well as proven experience in energy distribution controls and the monitoring space. You must be able to intelligently design and develop automation solutions. We are looking for someone who knows the ins and outs of software automation for microgrid technologies if you are considering applying for this role. You will lend your expertise to various teams to ensure execution of projects goes according to plan, from the sales teams, to project management teams as well as the various systems engineers. You will find yourself playing a leading role in the technical proposal process and execution thereof – focusing on customized microgrid solutions. Furthermore, you will enable business development and the firm’s estimation processes and specifically support price proposal development as concerns controls and software development. The commissioning process will fall under your key responsibilities, which requires you to be a well-rounded engineer. From mitigating risks to managing and training teams right through to dealing directly with various stakeholders, your role will be multi-dimensional without a doubt. A key aspect of your responsibilities will be to support the implementation of micro-grid software libraries, you will do this through modular and scalable application design, so you must know your stuff.
