The right person for the job will have a relevant degree as well as a membership with The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS). You will have 4+ years of solar procurement experience which has enabled you to have a good understanding of solar PV products. Due to your previous procurement experience, you have a track record in strategic purchasing, and delivering effective purchasing strategies, policies and systems. It is important for this role that you have strong knowledge and technical understanding of automotive processes and components as well as a good understanding of the product lifecycle. Our client is looking for someone who is deadline-driven, analytical, self-motivated and is a team player. As the Buyer, you will be responsible for managing stock levels and organising orders to replenish stock, making sure all logistics of stakeholders are known and functioning efficiently, support supplier capabilities by providing insight on how to best develop and leverage these capabilities, ensure INCO terms and creditor funding is in place that benefits the company, and find and recommend ways to improve processes. It is vital that you have excellent negotiation and communication skills as you will be working closely with stakeholders and suppliers.

- Degree in relevant field
- Membership with the CIPS is highly beneficial
- 4+ years solar procurement experience
- Proven purchasing experience with a track record in strategic purchasing, and delivering effective purchasing strategies, policies and systems
- Good understanding of best practices relating to policies
- Strong knowledge and technical understanding of automotive processes and components

Your responsibilities will include overseeing stock levels and coordinating stock orders, evaluating all SLAs and ensure they’re updated, negotiating with suppliers during the sourcing review, making sure necessary QA testing is carried out, liaising with key stakeholders to develop effective cost reduction strategies, and acting as primary point of contact for overall category needs.
