If you are an experienced Operations Manager who has an intrinsic ability to optimize the performance of a firm through intelligent improvements and change management techniques - but more specifically if you have experience doing this for companies which operate in the solar supply and distribution space - then we have the perfect position for you. 

We are looking for a skilled professional with 5+ years of hands-on experience managing teams of over 100 employees. Someone who is well versed with the PV industry and who is able to not only look at the big picture of a firms' performance but also someone who can carefully evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of each department and put together effective plans to improve each divisions effectiveness and thus ensure that the firm remains agile and competitive in an ever-evolving market. Ideally, you will have a plethora of H&S experience and a strong understanding of the relevant legislation - considering you will be overseeing technical, warehousing and logistics teams. Furthermore, you will need to be highly strategic and use your ability to evaluate operating performance to implement realistic KPI's (and the measurement thereof) and well defined SOP's that the firm can seamlessly incorporate into their operations. Quality will be key to you, nothing gets past your eye for detail considering that your objectives are to ensure that the end client is happy with the level of service and the products they have procured from the firm. It goes without saying that you will need to be a people's person, able to motivate and lead teams as well as upskill them. With that said - since you will be working with cross-functional teams and software integration, you must be highly tech-savvy in order to adapt to a fast-paced environment where outputs are measurable.

We are looking for someone who is able to reduce operational health and safety risks, manage and train large teams as well as identify and retain top talent, track and manage a firms performance and in summary, cut financial losses through improved operational performance. Education Requirements

Relevant degree or qualifications in Engineering, Logistics or Supply Chain Management
Appropriate management and training certificates would be beneficial

Experience Requirements

5+ years experience in the supply and distribution industry, ideally in the solar or technologies supporting the renewables industries
Must have managed large cross-functional teams (in warehousing, logistics, procurement, tech support and administration) - teams over the size of 100 employees
Must have implemented change management plans as well as evaluations for performance and the associated monitoring thereof
Must have previous experience as a Health and Safty Officer (16.2) - pivotal that you understand the affiliated legislation
It is vital that you have experience upskilling teams and identifying skills shortages which will enable improved operational performance (includes the recruitment thereof)
