Our client who has rapidly taken over the procurement and logistics space for solar supplies to larger South African engineering and constructions firms, is looking for someone who takes on a brand as their own personal identity and sees eye to eye with their vision to support their clients to quickly deploy projects with quality breakthrough products.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a technical qualification, bachelors or MBA and have at least 2-4 years’ experience in sales or in an account management role with a solid knowledge of what projects are going to be deployed throughout Africa.
Your caring nature for the best interests of your clients will help you build strong relationships with them, you will be engaging with senior level engineers and directors and your knowledge of solar products will be key for you to gain their trust in the solutions you can provide – always keeping them up to date with new technologies readily available to them. As the Key Account Manager, you will be reporting directly to the Sales Manager, depending on your experience and knowledge you will either be working with grid-tied or off-grid solar PV products. You will be a goal orientated person who thrives off targets and seeing your sales go off the charts… and of course be rewarded for it! You will find yourself constantly improving systems and processes helping the business to expand its footprint and portfolio – enabling yourself you grow into a senior position where you can bestow your knowledge on others. Your brilliant organizational and communication skills will be your go to as you ensure that client expectations are met, and the brand is developed as you pitch solutions to clients and develop your portfolio of of solar project which range from 150 kW - 1 MW.

MBA is preferred
Must have proven experience meeting targets and developing a project pipeline
Must have experience using SalesForce or similar CRM and or other sales software
Experience understanding and interpreting analytics and translating this into market trends
Proven experience producing top notch sales pitches is vital
Communication - written and verbal are important
Social media skills and a keen knowledge of what is, has and is going to happen in the industry is preferred
