We are looking for a Market & Business Development Manager with proven experience of account management in the APAC area to add significant value to our client’s Kenyan team. Although this position is based in Kenya, the successful candidate will be dealing with clients from numerous countries across the ACAP territory. Therefore, it is important that you are able to communicate effectively in English (other languages such as an ability to communicate in Chinese and Korean is definitely a bonus) as most of the clients in those areas will require you to have those language skills.
Your role within this global company will be that of an external-facing one, with you eagerly interacting with potential and existing clients within the micro-grid and utility industries to properly address their requirements and needs. You will be able to lean on your colleagues within various departments such as Logistics, Product Experts, and Systems Engineering to deliver the best service that you possibly can and learn more about the company procedures along the way. Ideally, you will have come from an energy background and be a computer genius, able to use CRMs and other software applications that will enable you to grasp the product capabilities and limitations. We are looking for someone with an understanding of energy products and ideally has worked in a cleantech product environment before.
We are looking for someone who is a problem-solver, has a knack for gathering information to collaborate with the departments to come up with unique solutions for your clients. Aside from presenting creative solutions to your clients, you will also act as the voice for your clients within the APAC area, ensuring that their feedback is passed along to the Product Development team to take into consideration for improving current products. Furthermore, you will be required to attend industry events and conferences to ultimately be the face of the company. This will also help you with expanding your networks and using them to better understand the local and international markets which in turn will influence your marketing strategies.
