Description

Momentous Energy specialises in developing, financing, building, and operating solar power sites in Sub-Saharan Africa. They undertake large-scale solar installations for grid-connected and off-grid projects, as well as large-scale rooftop applications. Momentous Energy takes an innovative and cost-effective approach to develop renewable energy projects and it is our goal to create clean and renewable energy for the region, together with creating employment and providing skills training.

Momentous Energy is looking for an Operations and HR Administrator to join their team. It is important that you have strong administration skills as well as tender documentation experience.

Responsibilities

    • Assisting the Head: Operations & HR with all Operations and HR-related administration
      Operations
      • Management meeting minutes
      • Procurement quotation on all purchases
      • Temp operations timesheet calculation
      • Karani cash account, (Orders, Quotes, statements, and invoices)
      • Claim forms
      • Petty cash recon for site.
      • Assess Daily reports and report if there are problems on site
      • Monitor Control room and server to ensure protocol is followed
      • Monthly Shift roster for Site staff
        HR
      • 1.            Monitoring Leave days and viability of leave.
      • 2.            Forming and maintaining employee records
      • 3.            Updating databases internally. Supporting documentation for site employees.
      • 4.            Preparing and amending where necessary HR documents, i.e. employment contracts and recruitment guides
      • 5.            Assisting with payroll by providing the department with relevant employee information, i.e. holiday and sick days taken
      • 6.            Helping with various arrangements internally, from travel to processing expenses
      • 7.            Overtime applications and recon.
      • 8.            Reconcile the Sundays and public holidays and compare to overtime
      • 9.            Increase letters.
      • 10.         Site Employees recruiting process for verification. (Police clearance and Medicals)
      • 11.         Contract Minor adjustments (Name, ID, Dates, Advised value)
      • 12.         Assisting the Head: Operations & HR with all HR related administration
      • 13.         Providing administrative support to other departments or projects as needed.
      • 14.         Managing and updating company HR and Stakeholder databases

     

    • Organizing events across the different entities.
    • Assisting in all operations related paperwork and processes
    • Managing the maintenance of the Head office and facility equipment, e.g.: computers, network queries, stationery, etc
    • Providing administrative support to other departments or projects as needed.
    • Managing and updating company HR and Stakeholder databases.
    • Keeping track of inventory and ordering supplies, using the Procurement Process .
    • Manage phone calls and correspondence (e-mail, letters, packages etc.)
    • Assisting in all operations related paperwork and processes
    • ADHOC duties, from time to time, assisting the CEO with larger meetings and specific admin

Skills

  • Very strong admin skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have a valid driver's license
