We are looking for a skilled salesman and business developer who has 3+ years’ proven experience selling financial solutions for leasing solar PV equipment – specifically to clients in the C&I space. The financing firm is able to provide bespoke financial solutions to a variety of client profiles and benchmarks their point of difference on this. Our client values high EQ and IQ – to build long-lasting relationships with clients and potential clients, the customer needs to trust in the sound technical (PV engineering) and financial modelling knowledge that you are able to bring to the table and in turn secure a transaction. Although you will have the support of strong financial team behind you, you cannot approach clients without having a solid understanding of how PV systems work, what is an appropriate and realistic yield given the client’s parameters, what is the depreciation of an asset as well as the financial risks and benefits of deploying a system for them.
If you are the ideal candidate for this position you will have come from an EPC environment or PV financing firm and you will have a degree in a finance-related field and or B.Com coupled with a Diploma in Accounting. Our client is looking for someone who can hit the ground running, so a strong network of potential clients is paramount be it that these sit in the Western Cape (Cape Town-based) or Gauteng (Johannesburg based). Given your location and strong networks, our client is open to allowing the perfect candidate for this role to operate out either of their branches. Expect to spend a good deal of your time on the road while benefitting form 20 days of annual leave!
