We are looking for Project Developers with proven experience meeting KPIs in the development and acquisition of renewable energy projects across Africa.
If this is the role for you, you will have a wealth of knowledge surrounding the renewable energy industry, understanding the REIPPPP project development processes in South Africa. You will be responsible for the initial development of a renewable energy project, developing new opportunities, directions and strategies for the Project Managers to follow throughout the entirety of the project’s lifecycle. You will represent, secure, manage and implement permitting processes for technical projects, and will need to exhibit an ability to manage economic, financial and contractual permitting evaluations. As an extrovert with strong people skills, you will be responsible for developing good relations with strategic partners and stakeholders, ensuring you secure all permitting approval obligations. In addition to this, you are comfortable working with various governmental departments and private parties who allow for industrial construction developments, especially those within the REIPPPP. You will be highly organised as you deploy scheduled milestones in a timely manner and according to plan.

MBA is advantageous
Previous experience in the development/acquisition of power plant projects (between 20MW-50MW) is essential. A good understanding of the full development cycle and its implementation is key.
Strong financially modelling, commercial agreement negotiation and reporting experience is a must
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
Experience handling pre-qualification actionables including; project feasibility, tender document preparation, tendering, interviews, tender analyses and making recommendations
Experienced in stakeholder engagement and familiar with the permitting requirements of the REIPPPP to fulfil the project parameters per the bid process and lenders requirements
Developing good relations with strategic partners and stakeholders, ensuring you secure all permitting approval obligations
Ability to speak additional languages including French and Portuguese is advantageous
Ability to coordinate and manage teams across the project life cycle
Must be willing to travel throughout Africa
