We are looking for an exceptional Sales Manager, someone who has a drive to succeed, can easily exceed targets, is strategic and most importantly… is passionate about speeding up energy access into Africa. We want to find a professional who counts the MW’s they have assisted their clients to develop as well as keeps a close eye on the carbon emissions which they have actively helped to reduce.
Our client is an international player, they have established themselves as South Africa’s leading solar PV supplier and distributor - so much so, that other suppliers often turn to them to get stock they are unable to quickly obtain themselves. With the uncontested success they have had in South Africa, the company plans to enter other African markets, with a goal to become Africa’s leading supplier and distributor of solar PV products for the C&I industry.
They are looking for a sharp professional who has a minimum of 3+ years in a Sales Management position and a proven track record of sales in solar PV. If you are the ideal candidate for this role, you will find yourself managing a team, developing and motivating others through your ability to lead and inspire. You will be creating an off-grid solar sales strategy with guidance from the International Manager, drawing on the strengths of your team to ensure the success of its rollout. Furthermore, you will be identifying opportunities to leverage and pinpointing re-sale partners in Africa, focusing your energy on constantly improving the pipeline through innovative improvements to the product offering, key sales messages and marketing of the company. You will guide your team, helping them to learn how to close deals and tackle tough negotiations and contracts. You will need to put your financially savvy creative cap on as well as act on your brilliant financial experience of working with budgets as you create targets for the team and ensure a healthy ROI will be achieved. Acting as the Sales Manager for Africa, you will be frequently working with tenders, conducting market and competitor analysis research, dealing with new suppliers and maintaining abreast of legislation which may affect operations. You will be the face of the company, constantly engaging with senior professionals and attending events where you will find yourself building long lasting relationships with industry members. Managing a team of close to ten professionals, you will frequently look at your internal statistics and feedback loops to help the team drive sales and enable you to make executive decisions which aid the mission of the company.

MBA is highly advantageous
Must have proven experience meeting and exceeding targets month to month
Experience developing sales strategies, team targets and developing partnerships is ideal
