Are you an expert Sales Manager with a proven ability to close C&I PV projects in the range of 1MW? Do you know how to manage 20+ sales staff effectively? Do you have an established C&I client base in the Eastern Cape? Great - you are just the person we want to speak to!  

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for you to join a rapidly growing team of the skilled solar sales staff, and to that measure, one of the few solar EPC firms that have such a large sales team! This is a company that is aggressive in its expansion plans, one that strategically implements intelligent partnerships that enable growth, but not only that - it also is able to deploy quality projects in 1/3 of the time most competitors take to do so... reason why? Not only do they have a strong engineering and construction team, but they also are able to fund projects themselves! Which means quick turn around times and highly adaptable solutions to each client's needs.

If you are the ideal person for this position you will have hardcore solar sales experience under your belt as well a strong technical understanding of PV systems (including energy storage, hybrid and UPS technologies and the integration thereof). You will need to be able to guide, lead and advise your sales teams to ensure that the sales pipeline is not only achieved but hitting their regional targets. This position will take a skill that is able to directly answer clients technical queries on the spot, so you need to know the in's and out's of how a PV system works, considering you will not only be the point of contact for big projects but also mentoring your sales team on how to close a deal. Your team will be closing projects on average ranging from 100kW - 800KW+.

Education Requirements

Relevant degree in Finance, Engineering or Commerce
MBA is beneficial
Appropriate sales and training certificates would be beneficial

Experience Requirements

4+ years' working experience at a senior level sales position for B2B services (high-pressure environment)
3+ years’ in a leadership position managing and training a team of 20+ sales professionals
A target in the millions should be no sweat for you
Hiring, training, coaching and mentoring salespeople
High-level management skills for cross-provincial sales teams
Proven ability to drive sales pipelines and exceed company-wide targets (we want to know if you won the top sales achiever during your career)
Proven track record developing and executing on strategic sales campaigns

Skills

Strong negotiation tactics and interpersonal skills as you will be securing 3-year sales pipelines in South Africa with executives
Exceptional management skills are essential
Outstanding presentation pitching and communication skills
