Are you known as a natural salesperson with exceptional knowledge of the South African Renewable Energy industry and fully understand the nitty gritty terms and features of solar PV systems? We are looking for a target driven Technical Sales Engineer to support a company that is dominating the solar market with their unique take on designing and managing solar PV projects. Our client is a renowned firm that operates across African countries, installing solar PV plants as well contributing to providing innovative battery storage solutions.

We are looking for an individual that can combine their technical knowledge of solar PV projects and components with their sales skills. A balance between the two is necessary so that you are able to confidently explain and promote highly complex technical information on the company’s offerings, whilst also appropriately responding to any clients’ queries. To further ensure that your clients’ as well as the company’s needs are met, you will liaise regularly with other sales personnel and team members from other departments such as R&D, Design, Production and even Management. This will require you to showcase excellent communicate skills, able to boldly network and write reports detailing the outcomes of your engagements. You will be a highly organised and independent individual willing to go the extra mile to show your results-orientated personality through achieving your defined KPIs and sales targets. Alongside your main responsibility, you will also be asked to maintain strong relationships with existing clients and conduct business development to secure new deals. Your initiative in further developing your career will serve you well in this role as you will be expected to continuously keep abreast of new trends and markets through attending various trade shows and conferences.
