Recruitment

AltGen Recruitment has traditionally focussed on 3 phases of the renewable energy project lifecycle, being project development, construction and operations and maintenance.

Within these project phases the skills we focus on include project development, project engineering, sales, commercial managers, legal skills, project finance, project management and construction, health, safety and the environment and asset management among others.

In each of these areas, we have a specialist consultant who’s role is to be exceptionally well networked, to understand deeply the skills that they are looking for, and to deliver the best fit for the clients mandate.

Manpower

AltGen’s manpower services division has been managing PV plants since 2015, and currently has 400MW + and several hundred employees under management.

From the sourcing of staff, to background checks, onboarding (medical checks, HR handbooks), leave management and payroll management, AltGen will take care of all aspects of manpower management in the various geos in which we operate: South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Kenya, and Zambia.

In South Africa, Altgen Management Services is a partnership between Bridgette Kannemeyer, the Managing Director of AltGen Management Services, and Sean Gibson, the owner and founder of the AltGen Group of Companies.

It is a BEE Level 2 black women owned company.

EOR

AltGen has performed EOR work in Africa for more than 10 years now, and EOR In Africa is the natural extension of this. Founded as a separate workstream and entity in 2024, EOR In Africa is steadily growing and establishing itself as the premier EOR firm in Africa.

Uniquely, EOR In Africa is not an aggregator. In other words, we are fully incorporated in the countries in which we operate, and while we use local services providers (lawyers, accountants), we do not use these service providers to employ on our behalf.

Direct Employment: We employ directly on behalf of our client in Kenya, Zambia, Namibia, South Africa, Botswana and Mauritius, and future medium term incorporation targets are Zimbabwe and Eswatini.

In the geos in which we are not incorporated, we will facilitate employment through a 3rd party service provider whose details we share with our clients, and the clients can choose to deal directly, or have us manage processes on their behalf.
