Position Overview

An established renewable energy investment business is seeking a Project Planner & Scheduler to develop, monitor and maintain project schedules for utility-scale Solar PV projects.

The successful candidate will ensure project schedules are realistic, achievable and aligned with contractual requirements while proactively identifying risks, monitoring progress and supporting successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project schedules covering engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities.
  • Monitor project progress against baseline schedules and identify schedule deviations.
  • Conduct critical path analysis and recommend corrective actions to minimise delays.
  • Produce weekly and monthly progress reports, forecasts and schedule updates.
  • Support claims management through schedule analysis and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain accurate schedule records, revisions and approvals.
  • Assist with resource planning to optimise project execution.
  • Ensure project schedules comply with contractual requirements and industry best practice.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
  • Project scheduling or planning certification (e.g. PMI-SP or Primavera P6) is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project scheduling within renewable energy or large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience scheduling utility-scale Solar PV projects exceeding 10 MW.
  • Experience working on EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) projects.
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies such as PMBOK or PRINCE2.
  • Knowledge of Solar PV construction, grid connection and commissioning activities.

Important Note

Applicants must have proven experience scheduling utility-scale Solar PV projects exceeding 10 MW using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, together with a minimum of 5 years’ project scheduling experience on EPC infrastructure or renewable energy projects.
